Pros

TLDR: Glassdoor reviews are missleading especially "9 Oct 2023" as they were given soley based on managements order. Management do review them so they are monitoring these reviews. + You get to Own the project. + Wide variety of client in multiple domain (Paisa he Paisa babu bhaiya) + Good technology like Node.js Next.js are used and some projects are based on React.js + Founder believe in Latest technologies and support the usage of it which is good for growth + Direct Client interaction. + Good machines for Developers (Macbook - 16GB?) + On - Time salary + F&F is quick like in 30 days

As mentioned in TLDR. - Lot of micro-mangement by Team Leads, Project Managers & even CEO - Multiple project assignment no matter how over-worked you might be (many have been assigned to over 5 projects) - Culture is pretty toxic and alot of politics by Management - Many people (Junior & Senior) have left after November 2023 (Over 20) due to bad policies, culture & politics - Work from Home aka Flexible policy is only given to old employees. New employees work from home are usually rejected by Team leads - NoCode is used like Xano & WeWeb which are completely useless in Complex and large project. (Not to forget nobody uses them [Xano, WeWeb, Webflow] in India so getting a job based on these experience will mostly damage your resume) Just beware that they may lie about giving you code project but they will add more NoCode projects on your head - Management has bad behaviour towards employees (Well except for the Management people like Team Leads) - Team leader belive giving multiple project will improve your productivity - You will be asked to work on Saturday Sunday and this is way common than you think not to forget you wont get comp-off for this and this is mentioned in their Employee contract - No health benefits aka Group Health Insurance - Increment is always late by 2-3 months and you will get 5-10% (They will say you will get very good Increment during orientation) - CRITICAL to Note that Women's safety should be taken on top priority considering POSH policy isn't working and "Deep" down you know it "Yes"? PS: Saying "these concerns are baseless" isn't going to improve the culture and company & making people post fake / misguded reviews on Glassdoor and Ambitionbox is not good.

Cons

Extended working hours every day in a week. Micromanagement of employees. Keeping them into multiple projects and torturing them. Always need to give updates to many people every day.

No Pros at all, Very TOXIC Company

LACK OF PROPER PLANNING: There is Serious lack of Planning in the Company, The Project Scope and Delivery all decided by one personal and then Team is Informed about it. The way this works is that the whole team should be in the Discovery phase or At Least Leads should be in the Loop to scope out the requirement and Estimate deliverables . Unfortunately this is something that is not happening across the company and team is being burdened with pre-decided project scope and timelines without their involvement in the discovery phase. ALLOCATION : People are allocated in Multiple projects and clients are being told that they are 100% Exclusively working for them but that is not the case. It's possible for an Employee to manage 2 projects partially but not fully. REPORTING : There is serious concern regarding reporting, Employees are being asked to manage multiple projects and also prepare reports for them without additional help. Instead of using Jira or other project / task management proper tools for documentation of the tasks, Instead they rely on Old fashioned google sheets / docs . So at the end what happens is the employee has to manage the client provided Task manager + task sheet shared by unico + weekly report of the project on sheet when all this can be easily automated. PAYROLL ISSUES : I'm Sharing one Instance Happened to me. On 2nd Jun 2023 I received the pay and it had lots of extra deductions while I had already declared my Investment like a month ago. When i opened payroll portal i saw that there was my declaration in there and at the same moment I messaged the issue in group and when I reloaded the payroll portal , My Declaration was deleted, When asked by me accounts team responded that "they only have option to reject or accept Declaration on zoho payroll". So I had researched the internet and found out that admins have full control over the declaration and they can edit it at any point. Adding to that, when I tried to escalate the issue, my access to all the portals and communication channels was revoked, Not only that, they didn't agree that there was a mistake on their side and completely dismissed me. LACK OF APPRECIATION : This seems to be the motto of the company "Never Appreciate Talent" . When talent is working hard for UNICO, Company still soft of giving them negative comments and Putting their morale down. Always complaining is their goal. TOO MUCH MICROMANAGEMENT : There is too much micromanagement happening inside the company. When the Developer is solving the issue and they are being asked lots of why's and if by Managements even when they do not know the full context of the root Problem. One such example is to make all employees prepare task sheets with tasks and descriptions when this can be easily managed and automated using a Central Task Management tool. UNNECESSARILY HARASSING EMPLOYEES ON NOTICE PERIOD: I am serving notice period and Unico has started harassing me already from the first day of Notice period. Un-necessarily creating issues is kind of a Job of Unico Connect for Employees in Notice Period. Adding to that, HR have pointed me out multiple times unnecessarily. trying to create issues out of thin air and gang up against me and trying to provoke me. USE OF ABUSIVE LANGUAGE AND RASH WORDS : There have been multiple instances where Abusive language has been used with me during verbal communication and have used very rash Language with me. DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED BY HR : * Taking care of Employees' Well being. * Make sure there is a good Environment across the Departments and Company. * Encourage Employees to perform well. * Ensuring Compliance with Labour Law / Civil Rights I am sorry to say that this is not happening. Instead what I see is when the day starts, HR starts putting employees down , which results in overall Low Morale and Affects the Performance of the Employees and the Worse thing is it seems to give her ( HR ) Satisfaction by Pointing out someone and putting them down. DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED BY CEO : * Create Senior Management to Oversee Operations. * Give Creative independence to Elected Leads. * Take Suggestion and Execute them in the Organisation. * Setting up KPIs For Leads I am so Sorry to say that this is not Happening Either. In UNICO CEO's Main role is Micro-Management. Get Old Fashioned Manual Reports Prepared resulting in increased Burden on Employees and Leads, all of which can be Automated very easily.
