Pros

None. You'll struggle to see anything good about the place after being around for a month. Almost all positive reviews here were written by the CEOs coterie.

Cons

- CEO is a terrible leader who will not own the failures of the organisation, he refuses to see his own shortcomings and is always trying to find someone to blame (no one is safe apart from his small coterie). Once a person to be blamed is found, she is continuously harassed, mistreated and told off, till she leaves or is let go of. - People are discussed at length behind closed doors mainly to criticise and blame them. Employees are there to be blamed for management's capability flaws, employee are there to be made fun of and abused. Name calling is pretty common - Fear of being fired and of being persecuted and harassed is the favorite tool deployed to drive productivity - Nearly anyone who tried to get anything good done has left or is leaving including the CRO, CTO, CHRO. The list goes on and on. -

Hey there - appreciate the feedback! Understand that you had a bit of a bumpy ride. Growth stage rocketships aren’t easy and for everyone. Hopefully you learnt a ton and took away more positives than sour grapes. Nevertheless, we did go through a turnaround and had to take some hard calls for the betterment of business, and are glad to have emerged from this very strongly. Unilodgers has grown month over month since February 2020, and has had a sub 1% attrition rate. Mini fact corrections while we’re at it - we never had a CHRO, and our fantastic CTO is a co-founder and still very much alive and kicking with us :) Quick Linkedin scans on both will help you verify this! If you were to look inward into Unifam, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Bad luck you couldn’t stay the full course with us, but we wish you all the very best!

A great product idea will die under a mediocre mindset

Pros

Great place to witness petty politics, great place for getting openly humiliated, great place to witness chaos, great place to witness unnecessary urgency, great place for no work-life balance and great place to see how people lose their head when they raise funding... oh yes they also have a great coffee machine and Nintendo switch in case you are trying to find a reason to be there.

Cons

The organization is an absolute mess. The senior leadership is greatly misaligned and takes great pride in petty politics with older employees. To give you a broader view: 1.) There is no clear hierarchy in the organization 2.) There are no defined roles for the employees and absolutely no guidance 3.) There is no clear framework for product and cross-function communication. 4.) CEO has severe behavioral issues and most of the time he is trying to figure out what others are talking/thinking about him. If you want to witness dialogues from Ekta Kapoor's K series he is a go-to man.

That sounds like a ton of pent up emotion! Product Management isn’t an easy role and often laced with straightjacketed feedback. Sorry things did not run smoothly for you and wishing you luck for the future. Btw, having a flat organization is something that we pride ourselves with. It encourages doers to continue to plug ahead and we like to keep it that way. Pssst, subtle plug for awesome product folks who might be looking for their next big global challenge in consumer-tech. We’re hiring, but very selectively (JK, we’re easy - please tell us you consume Netflix over Zee TV). You could email us on careers@unilodgers.com

Pros

- Good culture upon joining

Cons

Initially Unilodgers was a decent company to work for but I feel everyone needs to know that they're writing fake reviews with the help of their current employees on google/glassdoor. This is coming straight from someone who's been in the organisation and experienced this. The major issue EVERY employee has faced is that Senior Management (Mostly Vaiabhav and Enzo) promised to return everyone's due salary by November 2021 and failed to do so. They made everyone work for the next months to come by giving them false hope and continued to reiterate how "strong" the "Unifam" culture is. Please refrain from using the word "fam" because no one felt like it was a family honestly. Everyone was kept in the dark for the longest time and none of the ex employees have received their due from last year. I mean it's been 10 months now and there are people who rely on this salary to meet their monthly expenditure. The Senior management is still not paying the employees full salary and even after 8 months since the company went bankrupt, they still haven't paid anyone's due. For anyone looking to join this company, please know that they're gonna lie and lie and lie till they utilise all the heart and soul out of you. Have some shame Unilodgers, there are people/ex employees out there struggling and you don't have the decency to even pay your employees their dues. These guys are still making false promises and giving ex employees hope that they'll get their money back this year. I hope people realise Vaibhav has no credibility with his words :) Although I do understand that Unildogers went through a financial turmoil but there's no denying that these people let employees be in the grey area FOR THE LONGEST TIME. They held company discussion forums every month but never ever gave anyone clarity. They were always so vague about it. Can't wait for their team to reply to this review with some non sense lol.
