Pros

Good training, benefits, pay. Organization open to staff furthering their job skills through education. Associates on the most part are honest , caring people. Residents were sweet and enjoyable to work with. Always a interesting experience with residents.

Cons

Unethical management professing to be upright Christians were actually wolves in sheep's clothing. HR department supports management and not associates. Management play favoritism and are unwilling to hear both sides to a situation.

Pros

Competitive Pay, benefits better than most, caring organization, takes care of their residents

Cons

Home office needs to understand what actually goes on in the communities. They do not fully think programs through prior to implementation and how they effect operations in the facilities.

Pros

The pros are my coworkers are great, It's close to my home, the hours are nice.

Cons

there is no flexibility in the schedule and the staffing is very bad. The management is out of touch with its employees and they don't care about our concerns.

We are pleased to hear that you enjoy working with your co-workers at United Methodist Communities and find the working hours nice. You may be interested to know that as we implement our model of person-centered care across our various communities, it is our hope to eventually enable our care teams to self-schedule which would certainly lead to more associate input in scheduling. In regard to your concerns about staffing, it is often adjusted upward and downward based on acuity (the degree of care a resident requires) and the resident occupancy of the building (less occupancy can lead to reduced need for staffing). We certainly welcome hearing your concerns through our associate surveys and regular town hall meetings. We also encourage you to consider CEO Connect which enables associates to share their concerns directly with our President and CEO, Larry Carlson.
