Pros

Employee benefits, location, very nice coworkers. Opportunity to serve the greater UMC. The best customers in the world who are very gracious and loyal. Nice pleasant atmosphere.

Cons

Upper management on the sales side make it difficult for strong staff to excel and be promoted. Seem to lack encouragement to be 'thinkers' and want people to simply do what they are told by upper management without thinking for themselves.

Pros

There are a handful of people at the publishing house who actually care about the work.

Cons

Bullying and harassment from coworkers gave me a nervous breakdown. I was working 70+ hours a week for $30k a year and dealing with a toxic work environment on top of that. Top-heavy management with a bunch of old guys who produce nothing. Female employees are noticeably underpaid compared to male employees.
