Pros

I would lie if I were to say there are no pros. They pay money, so technically you are not a slave and you get to work on Hollywood films once in 2 years. Just check their imbd and see what kind of "projects" you will work on apart from that lucky Hollywood moment in your life.

Cons

Let's be short. This company is the worst example of everything what's wrong with this industry. All the nightmares people describe are here, unreasonably long hours, the worst management, toxic people, small pay, xenophobia, you name it. Don't be discouraged though. UPP is a unique parade of defecation to our industry so just avoid it and you will be healthy mentally and physically.

Pros

Nice city Prague and good and cheap beer

Cons

Really bad company with horrible working conditions. They always ask you for working at weekends. When they offer you job, you must pay for relocation by yourself. They promise you when you will pass 3 month of testing period you will have a long term contract, when you pass this period they told you something like - you are good specialist and our cooperation is works, but now we have not too much projects, so thank you and good bye, we will be in touch. I never saw so many illegal workers in one place. And yes salary is minimal. Hate this company.

Pros

There are some very nice projects, you can build up a nice demoreel. There are really nice people you can work with. Prague is very beautiful and cheap city. Lots of cheap and tasty bear, occasionally nice food. The studio location is also very nice, and easy for commute. Very close to city center by tram. Lots of restaurants and bars around for lunchtime.

Cons

I didn't stay too much for overtime, but film department does a lot of overtime and full working weekends. Overtime is paid, yet it is x1 your hourly rate. Pipeline is old. The communication is not so good between departments. They try to hire people from abroad, yet they leave them without notice after a test period. As it's mentioned here before, they say "co-operation works, but there are not as many projects right now. so goodbye, maybe we can work in the future". This is not good if you believe them to come to Prague and and then get laid off after a short while. Try here if you have no other options.
