Pros

I found no pros while working at Uproot.

Cons

This is a multi level marketing scheme. They lie to you during your interview process. You only make $13 an hour and are only able to work four hour shifts. I did not get paid correctly. The job is a sales job. This job is actually a part-time, grocery store salesman position. What you really do is work at a Fred Meyer and harass people for money. During the training process, you make no money, not even enough to feed yourself or cover gas. Once you’re done training, you work 9am-7pm, and that’s without commute time. The managers take almost all of your commission. The managers make the job seem like it is great, while ignoring your every concern. If you don’t do well enough fast enough, along with making no money, they will just fire you and ghost you. My manager acted like she cared and then never responded to me. The managers stoped answering my calls and took me off of the schedule without a valid reason. I’ve never been treated so badly from a job before, or from management, and I’ve worked many customer service jobs. The managers will try to make you believe this is a good job by telling you about travel opportunities (that you’re not guaranteed). Their advice, when confronted about poor compensation, is to network. Do yourself a favor and do not work at Uproot Management.

Pros

Very open to networking and talking about problems at work.

Cons

The job is not at all what they tell you it's going to be. They act as they're a marketing firm that works on campaigns and promotions for clients like AT&T. They sugar coat it and make it seem like you will be making tons of money but in reality it is not true. On your first day you find out you will be selling phones in local grocery stores at a booth...

Pros

We weren't always cooped up in an office

Cons

Supervisors were too comfortable and maybe its just me but, church and state yk... I despised how annoyingly comfortable they were with employees. In hindsight, I was super dumb to keep stay working after the major red flag on my first day, we were always at Panera Bread for meetings and Target for "execution of our duties" I guess. There was no designated office space nor have I every met anyone in HR which probably is why supervisors could do such disturbing things and get away with it.
