Cons
Leadership is opportunistic (see environmental justice initiative), lacks respect for women, does not have any basic understanding of sustainability, and refuses to learn or change. The programming is not impactful and doesn’t help the community or it’s people. There is no measurement or proof of impact in the past five years for 90% of the program work. It’s clear that the organization seeks funding to pay wages rather than finding ways to make a tangible difference in our community. All of it feels disingenuous. The board seems to be indifferent about all issues, especially the high staff turnover rate. Would not recommend working at this org to anyone, especially if you care about making a difference. Overall, it’s a toxic work environment and grant funding given to this organization would be better used literally anywhere else.
