Pros

Clients are well known reputable companies.

Cons

Incompetent management that micromanage while not having reputable backgrounds in the UX field. Partners of the firm exhibit tons of favoritism and gives the best projects to the researchers they like. Management talks to you as though you are a dog rather than a working professional. Pay significantly lower than the market rate while forcing employees to work nights and weekends.

Pros

-Snacks -Parties -Massage Therapist -Some big clients (although seemingly from the most dysfunctional teams, with the most unreasonable requests) Other things that make low pay feel more acceptable to early career professionals.

Cons

-Little interest in investing in enhanced tools, processes and technologies -Unfortunate pattern of accepting projects that are not feasible under the assumption that the [Recruiter/Researcher] will 'figure it out' -Participant panel with data integrity problems -Salaries well below market rates, justified by empty promises and fake promotions (e.g. adding meaningless titles with additional responsibility and no additional pay) -Manipulative, sexist leadership that shows favoritism for employees who are the most blindly loyal -No HR -One-sided, lazy performance review process (e.g. employees being handed a piece of paper with a 'merit-increased' salary that is mistakenly below what they're currently making)
