Pros

I have absolutely loved my time being a teacher at UTVA. I love working from home, prep time can be flexible, still get to have great relationships with students, and the staff and administration are so great and supportive.

Cons

There are some aspects of in person teaching that I do miss.

Pros

Work from home, the mentor program helps students and have good people. Student services work hard and have amazing people and good leadership.

Cons

Leadership is toxic and backstabbing. Head of School is fake and takes advantage of staff. Board of directors have no idea what’s going on. Enrollment is dropping, and people should run from this place, not to it. Salary was LOW and they try to make it sound like working from home is part of the salary, but then expect you to not “enjoy” working from home. Leadership team is like a sorority of mean girls. Stride is a scam and UTVA drinks the toxic kool-aid and drizzles it down to the teachers.
