Uncertain Furture/Disorganized

Pros

Valence allows some employees to work from home. The Chicago Locations are close to the trains. The workspace environment is also nice. Valence seems to try to keep up with technology as well. Valence has bonus program and review system that involves self assessment. However, the Con to that is that you have to wait six months to receive that increase. There are opportunities to move around in the company.

Cons

There are opportunities to move around the Company, however, there is a high turnover rate with employees and leadership. I have been thru 3 Directors, 4 VP's and countless supervisors and managers in just 4 years. So there is uncertainty when considering moving to another department. There is a heavy workload with all the new clients. Its common practice to remind all Salaried employees that they are Salaried. (????) Behind this is another reminder to work extra hours on a regular basis...because, "you are salaried". Overall: Expect to work well over a 40 hr. work week and weekends. Uncertain future for yourself with the ever evolving Leadership. No stability.

Company has changed for the WORST

Pros

Flex time (which is limited now) , OK pay , nice new building .

Cons

I started working for Valence in 2014. When I first started, I thought it was the greatest place to work. Flex time, pay was amazing especially for a young person, GREAT people , we all started to become like a big family. The company used to do fun things, it was laid back, the president & Vice President actually CARED about their employees , and with all that, we still got all of our work done . Now, the company took a turn for the worse. A bunch of lay offs were performed because THEY over spent millions of dollars , they started to micro manage , & the company that once cared about their employees, started treating everyone as expendable , the new CEO only cares about numbers & puts up this front like firing people really phased him. People started becoming RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL ! Everyone is so mean , stressed out, over worked & underpaid . I see nothing but bad things in the future for this company.

Disappointing trajectory, unstable future

Pros

Made some good investments in infrastructure and training. Approaching industry standards with certain IT practices.

Cons

Frustrating work experience due to mismanaged resources and never fixing systemic issues. Multiple VP roles added the same year they do layoffs and give no raises. Structure of company is shifting to reward the top brass and screw over the non-executive employees.
