Pros

They paid me more than I was getting paid before.

Cons

The year or so I was at Velocify was pretty awful. I went through a number of managers and VP's and to say the very least it wasn't just a mess but a mentally draining company to work at. Not one employee there is happy, unless they are brainwashed to think this company is doing well. Nick isn't a good CEO or manager and shouldn't be in either position.

Pros

El Segundo and the campus are decent places to work.

Cons

Clueless Product Management. Rudderless company - leadership does not take the time to walk the floor and get to know people. Old old technology for the main product - Lead Manager. Pulse product is hampered by an obnoxious key people.. No compassion for staff. Company is losing money and is no longer profitable so expect to me fired at any moment. Key people are leaving - it's like rats fro a sinking ship. Best avoided. They also scam Glassdoor reviews... Watch this space, as soon as a negative review is posted, two positive ones magically pop up! They must be watching as they are desperate to try to attract good people. Don't be fooled.

Velocify Employees - Be Careful

Pros

Most of the reviews on this site seem quite accurate and reflective of the various department and colleague strengths and weaknesses, both positive and negative. However, I am writing this review to warn other reviewers and especially friends and former colleagues that many of the reviews on this site are not as anonymous as you may intend them to be and it's often very possible to finger the writer of these reviews. Nick, the CEO, is a ruthless competitor who would not hesitate to take action against comments written here if he even has a an unfounded hunch as to who maybe behind them. He has a very low opinion of everyone he works with so you will not get the benefit of the doubt if he feels you might be against him. Please be careful and if you write anything less than a 5-star review please take greater pains to shelter your identity. Velocify is a great if imperfect company to work for, just don't mess up your own life by over-sharing on here. Be safe.

Cons

Generally as good as it gets for a still growing and struggling B2B start up. If you want more fun and less stress in enterprise join Salesforce or Cornerstone. If you want more fun and more stress join a B2C.

Velocify Response

I wanted to respond to your comments personally as I worry they may discourage honesty from Velocifiers which is counter to the intent of Glassdoor and not what I want. As CEO of Velocify I genuinely would never take action against an employee who posts a negative review. In fact it is extremely rare that I have any idea of who might have left a review. It is true that I care about what people write on Glassdoor just as I care deeply about the feedback I receive in our quarterly internal “Company Happiness Surveys”. As you know I share the complete set of results of the anonymous survey with the company and although I aspire to one day have everyone give the company a perfect rating I am very open about recognizing what we need to do to get there and discuss that with the entire company. It is also true that I am incredibly proud that we were named 23rd Best Company to Work For in the US by Glassdoor this year as I see my number one job as CEO as making Velocify a career-defining event for as many Velocifiers as possible. I also think the ranking is great because that accolade helps us to continue hiring the best and brightest people in the technology industry. However, I do embrace the fact that not all reviews will be positive and want to be 100% clear that I will not take any action against a Velocifier for offering their candid and honest feedback on Glassdoor.
