Pros

- Folks under the C-Suite tend to be smart, hardworking and great team players - The concept of the product/service is strong and useful to companies - Remote friendly even though they are trying to push hybrid - most people are fully remote - Strong benefits when I was there

Cons

- C-suite is awful and very out of touch with reality (They don't want to hear the truth about how customers feel about Vendr) - CTO and CFO/COO are awful (both have now recently left). The fact that the CFO was overseeing customer success for a while is absolutely ludicrous. - I saw every female leader leave in a short period of time because they couldn't work under the CFO and his sexist style (literally my VP, director, manager, etc. and those outside of my team all left). - Company sent customer facing team to Nashville and two months later laid off 40% of the company. - During lay off, company continued to interview/hire for roles that they had just gotten rid of without remorse (they targeted folks on medical leave). - Very scared to own up to who they are and force people to sign NDAs to shut their mouths. - Product team was out of touch and pushing changes that were glitchy and constantly upsetting customers. - Very stressful/busy role. Everyone is under water and can't juggle their workload during 9-5.

Pros

- Smart and kind colleagues, most of whom are happy to commiserate regarding the bleak conditions which leads to solid coworker relationships. They couldn't break our spirit entirely! - CEO truly seems like a nice person so it's a bit hard to watch everything unfold - Comp and benefits were good, but slowly deteriorating. And, honestly, you'll need a good health plan for the ulcers or IBS you'll get working here from the stress - They use slack not teams so that's cool - The office has great snacks, but there are 0 commuter benefits so you better stock up while you're there to earn your grocery money back for that train ride

Cons

- Complete lack of long term vision - Constant product and organizational changes making it near impossible to gain traction with customer accounts or your career in general - A lot of miserable customers who have been through it; some basically have Stockholm syndrome at this point - A lot of stuff feels really shady to be honest. Often told to tell customers things that weren’t verified and possibly not true at all. It was as though they were making everything up as they went and hoping it would just work out - churn baby churn, never seen anything like it in my career. Customers dropped like flies and not your typical churn and don’t blame the economy because people will always keep what they need, they just really don’t need Vendr.

Pros

Had a great experience at Vendr early on. Great people, great service, good market alignment. The culture was great for a while.

Cons

New Management came in about a year ago and it has been downhill ever since then. Zero marketing inbound lead flow, unrealistic quotas, toxic management, poor product (not service), finance team is incredibly difficult to work with, feels like it's tougher to sell internally than externally. The main culprit of many of these negative changes seems to be the CFO. Since he joined, it has been one poor decision after another. It feels as though he's running the company instead of the CEO and it's led to incredibly poor results over the last year (including layoffs). What was once a great place to work is no longer that. It's sad.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear about your positive experiences with the people, service, and culture at Vendr. Our people are incredibly kind and hard-working, and we're continually amazed by their dedication to our clients. We're of course disappointed to hear about the difficulties you faced. Change is the one constant, and in order to adapt, our leadership is driving decisions with velocity. We own those decisions together, and while we always have room to improve, we constantly strive to support our go-to-market motion with strong inbound lead flow, challenging but achievable goals, and a performance focused culture supported by transparent communication.
