- Mostly talented, capable coworkers that are fun to work with - Nice downtown Boise office location

Cons

- Salaries WELL below market for product & design teams - A track record of rejecting meaningful merit increases during annual performance reviews - Constant churn amongst designers and product owners - Rigorous time logging is required for every minute you work - "Salaried" employees are docked PTO if they work less than 40 hours/week - Questionable subscription-based business model - Management actively works to suppress Glassdoor reviews from exiting employees - Frequent swings in revenue due to lack of new business

Pros

Great client work comes through the door regularly. The only thing worth mentioning here.

Cons

Unreasonable expectations placed on PMs and lack of experience across the company leads to chaotic environment and scrambling to deliver week to week. Individuals get buried in client work and executive leadership promote this as a company value.

Pros

There are several aspects of this company that I can say have challenged me and enabled me to grow my understanding of all the various parts of an organization's functions. You'll never be stuck on one thing forever. That's one of the blessings of working with an agency. The projects that come through the door are always diverse and, thus, your mode of thinking will always be challenged. However, you'll pick up principles in design and development that can be utilized in a variety of ways. One day, you're building a website, the next you're doing stakeholder interviews with a new partner. More importantly, there's The Team. I've worked on my own projects and companies for several years, which always positioned me as the leader of my own ideas. The "front man". Since coming to Ventive, I've worked with the team and learned the value of creating the right culture and doing anything and everything possible to ensure that we maintain a solutions-based mindset. Focusing on the future and being creative in how we solve problems. This is a shared thread that the entire team has. Everyone thinks positively, as if they know that positivity is the only way to make the challenges that come from working in such a diverse environment possible.

Cons

With every project having limitations of scope, time and/or cost, there are always going to be intrinsic constraints. However, the expectation to deliver excellence can often stretch the realistic limitations of the team's capacity and bandwidth. This can make for a challenging environment when being challenged to perform at a certain caliber that many may find difficult to achieve.
