Pros

-You can try out a variety of different roles (marketing, management, etc.) and receive support as you take on those roles -Very focused on doing things the right way--if you disagree with how something's done, they're very open to changes and improvements. Your voice is actually heard and acted upon. -Lots of opportunities to travel around China (pre-COVID) -Really great management team

Cons

-Pay is a bit low for the amount of work -It's a lean team, so there's a lot of work/responsibilities to pick up

Pros

I felt supported in my work and things were always done as a team, whether celebrating success or learning from mistakes. Because the team is small, there are a lot of opportunities to try out a lot of different roles and see what you like or don't like. Your voice and input are also respected, no matter what position you hold or how long you've been with the company. As a foreigner in China I also felt that the company went above expectations to help me learn my way around the city and feel welcome.

Cons

The starting salaries are low (below market rate) and benefits don't include things like retirement savings or private healthcare.

Pros

There are a lot of learning opportunities at Vericant. You'll be able to learn a lot of things quickly, and if you want to move into a certain department, the company will do its best to make it happen. Good work-life balance, if that's important to you. Also, management is filled with really nice, genuine people. It's rare to find a company that has good intentions all around.

Cons

Pay is pretty low compared to foreign countries, but if you're comparing it to average the average Chinese salary, it might be a bit higher. Also, if you are the type that needs a lot of instruction, Vericant might not be the best fit for you. Vericant really likes motivated, efficient, and self-sufficient people who can quickly orient themselves and not be too afraid of having more responsibility. That's not to say that there's no mentorship, because there is, but Vericant actively wants its employees to up their levels.
