Pros

Flex hours is pretty good WFH flexibility is solid Maybe a good place to start a career -- it used to be anyway

Cons

Terrible PTO; awful benefit package Attrition is through the roof for good reason Not a unified company based on improving the life sciences, but an acquisition house. The main goal? Acquire more companies. Little to no unified culture This was once a great company prior to multiple mergers; that seems to be gone for good Leadership is absent or nonexistent

Pros

There were no pros at all

Cons

I signed my offer for employment in April of 2023 before graduation. In June my start date was pushed back 2 months. In August my offer was fully rescinded. Each time was called by a new and different HR person. Given a huge run around and was a terrible experience. If you get an offer from here make sure you continue to have a backup plan

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that this was your experience with Verista. We can certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience caused by a delayed and then rescinded offer. As a consulting company, we are only able to employ as we receive new contracts, and 2023 was a year of ebbs and flows in the Life Sciences industry. As we look ahead to 2024, we will continue to review our processes. We wish you great success and happiness in all your future endeavors.

Pros

- You get some experience - WFH flexibility is good - Intelligent coworkers in the field - Lower and middle management is good and doing their best to keep employees from fleeing

Cons

- Pay and benefits are not competitive. - If you have a GREAT yearly review the max raise per my manager is 2-3% and that's if the company hits revenue goal. A 2-3% raise is below average for this industry and barely keeps up with inflation. The average inflation for the past 10 years is 2.6%. Normal raise: 2-3% Good raise: 4-7% Big raise: 8%+ - Terrible PTO; awful benefit package - Vaccine mandate for all employees - High turnover - The man in NYC doesn't care about the culture instead wants to continue acquiring more companies without uniting/fixing the one he oversees - Lack of team blending/building - Internal postings are not shared from HR so very little opportunity to be promoted within
