Pros

Some of the people who work there are nice and supportive,

Cons

At the back end of last year, Verve made several employees redundant but shortly after promoted others. There is a culture of micromanagement and overly critical feedback with some of the senior leaders. Verve lacks any benefits; they pay bare minimum pension contribution to employees. They don’t offer any official training to employees or Private Healthcare. They don’t resource work properly, leaving some people hugely overworked. Employees tend work very long hours (in the evening and over weekends) – this seems to be rewarded if you’re willing to do it. If not, you’re overlooked for progression and up first when it comes to them making cuts. There is also nobody responsible for HR and it’s unclear who you’re meant to go to if you have any issues.

Pros

Junior team is really friendly Have some interesting big name clients Good location near the River Thames and London Bridge Flat structure

Cons

Terrible communication Overworked and no benefits or recognition for it Lack of clear progression and no one seems on the same page on what is expected to progress to the next level Poor salaries versus industry average Opportunities limited, even if they highlight future opportunities, they never come about Really high turnover and no nothing ever changes based on employee feedback. Most people leave within half a year these days

Pros

I learnt a lot during my time there, met some fantastic people and came across a lot of challenging work. The skills that I have developed are hugely valuable.

Cons

Unfortunately didn't feel like management were hands on enough, or trying hard to make more junior staff take bigger and faster strides in their career. Few, if any benefits. Lack of team atmosphere.

Hi and thanks for taking the time to write a review. Glad that you made some good relationships within the Verve team and that the work we do gave you the opportunity to develop so much. We generally try to give people the opportunity to feel trusted and make their own decisions which is essential when developing skills and confidence, but as with anything, balance is key, so we take on board your comment about management being more hands-on.
