Stay away! Far, far, away

Pros

The people are great, the environment is pretty relaxed and the hours are reasonable

Cons

While the owner of the company is a fantastic sales person, he does not know how to handle day to day operations and yet has to be involved in every single decision. He is inflexible, he refuses to let people other than himself make any decisions regardless of whether or not he is knowledgeable in the topic. On top of that, once you make a decision that he forced you in to and it fails, he blames you for it.

Very micromanaging CEO. Maybe you’re thinking, “Well... it can’t be that bad.” Yes, it is as bad as everyone says. The CEO has the rest of management under his thumb. He is the only one that makes real decisions.

Pros

Plenty of opportunity to work on projects. No micromanaging at all. C levels are great to work for and I get to work closely with them on a daily basis. Plenty of opportunities to explore issues and figure out different methods and why the systems act the way they do.

Cons

No communication, between anyone. Everything is an emergency and forget about trying to get a response from people in your own department. Rumors are always spreading like wild fires. No values laid out or a sense of what they want their culture to be like.
