Do not believe the positive reviews, a disaster

Pros

Nice experienced engineers, motivated sales team

Cons

The executive team is in disarray; the CEO frequently yells at employees in the office and makes erratic remarks. The company lacks a clear direction, making it exceedingly difficult to scale. Employees are terminated without any apparent system, and the company seems to lack a comprehensive understanding of management. Many are driven to the brink by the CEO's chaotic behavior. It baffles me why someone with such borderline personality traits and severe attention deficits holds this position. I would advise against pursuing opportunities here.

Pros

The product addresses an important need for companies. More and more companies are investing in identity so what Veza offers is top of mind. The product and engineering teams move fast. Good marketing even for a small company. All remote if that’s what you prefer. Competitive salary.

Cons

The product is almost too advanced for people to grasp quickly. It’s not intuitive for people who aren’t familiar with the space, even amongst security leaders. The real con here is that it takes a lot of time for new sales hires to onboard. A lot of good sellers have come and gone and struggled because it’s hard to concisely describe the product. The company needs clear direction, and that starts from the top. Too many changes in priorities makes it tough to finish a project and measure results. Crazy attrition. Like other reviews have stated, there is a real need for stronger leadership. Lofty goals that are not going to be achieved with the current leadership team. CEO needs to learn how to lead, not tell people what to do and how to do it. For whatever reason, the CEO seems to purposely create conflict within the company. If you leave, it's because "startups are hard and you couldn't handle it." I've never seen a company where non-CEO co-founders have such little say or influence. I would be surprised if Veza exists as a standalone entity a couple of years from now.

MASSIVE mistake

Pros

-Customers are impressed by the visibility (but most orgs are unable to operationalize). -Solid talent, although typically don't last over 3 months. -Great if you aren't adept at value selling.

Cons

There was a snowball effect of top-tier talent joining, and now a lot of those sales, engineering, marketing, HR, etc. folk have left or are on their way out. What could have been... Anyone that is not subservient to the CEO is fired, including those associated with said individuals. With no communication from Veza, multiple employees received a letter from their insurance provider that their insurance had been canceled, along with a pro-rated paycheck. When asked, Veza said it was done on "accident" and backtracked, clearly to save themselves from a lawsuit. A new sales guard was brought-in, and they proceeded to move ACTIVE deals being worked by current reps to their new hires. Again, with no communication whatsoever.
