Pros

Amazing colleagues, senior techs are approachable and great mentors. Fun group activities, wednesday treats, employer matched rrsps, three weeks vacation at the entry level

Cons

fyi - Positive reviews for this company were all written pre-company merger... American leadership doesn't understand the product, culture, employee needs, or Canada in general, and are unwilling to learn. The employee satisfaction survey results they commented on below favor the company, b/c we used our own software and everyone was worried it wouldn't be anonymous. As they said below, results were apparently shared for each department... that doesn't scream anonymous. Sell an "engagement" product, but are non-practicing. They have not proven to be concerned for employee health and happiness - it's a number's game. Under-staffed, heavy workload, low morale, high technical debt. Salaries are low end with no proven opportunity for improvement or promotions. Number-focused. Management unwilling to take suggestions or look at other approaches, regardless of staff experience or practices pre-merger. Hiring focus has been on top level management first, regardless of the high development workload. What was once a fun and growing company is now a disheartening grind for corporate america. They're looking for head's down employees who aren't interested in creating waves. They recognize employee achievement through a "rockstar/mvp" type nomination system. While the cash prizes are cool, it's a popularity contest and does not encourage their "one vibe" philosophy. The company contradictions are disheartening. If you're looking for a job or entry level position for some experience, you can find it here. You'll get good feedback and mentoring from your colleagues, friendship, and experience. You won't find a satisfying career here.

Pros

work from home (which is going away). paid sales training (accept they're in Elkhart, IN).

Cons

any review before 2017 was from a completely different company. they merged with ECI, and everything changed. "employee engagement" is a sales buzzword thrown around, but not practiced within company. new CEO. privately funded that could be pulled at any time. non-diverse workforce. no 401k matching.

Thank you for your feedback. It is important to share with you that employee engagement continues to be an important component of our company's success. We understand that employee engagement is hard. That is why we are focused on the solutions we create for customers and are now more actively using for ourselves. I am pleased that our first employee engagement score set a very high bar measuring Vibe's employee engagement. We are building the strength of our communications and striving for improvement in areas that matter to our team. One factor of employee engagement that we know matters are benefits programs. As we continue to grow, we look for opportunities to continue to evaluate our benefits program, while appreciating the competitive benefit programs we already provide. We are not about buzzwords. We are about building a great company and a great team. Our investors recently invested even more in a show of commitment as they believe in our team and the solutions that we are bringing to market. It is regrettable that the messaging you received was not aligned with what is actually happening within Vibe HCM. I wish you much success with your next opportunity

Pros

-Good pay if you are a top performer -Under the old regimen you had a ton of work from home flexibility, but that is going away soon. (Maybe this should be in the cons list?) -Cool all expense paid training sessions -Good product that actually helps the marketplace they are in

Cons

-Don't expect upper management to care too much about you in you position, to them you are easily replaceable regardless of how well you perform. -Upper management is very ego driven, they don't negotiate for anything - again, to them you are just a number on their payroll. -When the company saw that their big plan to relocate all operations from Dallas & Denver to Austin was failing, they bribed people with a terrible relocation offering to get their way (and then tried to keep it a secret), fortunately mostly everyone would rather be laid off than bribed to stay with a company that doesn't have any sort of loyalty to their employees.

Thank you for your comment on our product helping the marketplace. We certainly are proud of our products and for offering the industry's first unified HCM engagement platform. We care both about our customers and our people. As we manage through change and set our path forward, we have had to make some tough decisions. The decision that you seem to be assessing is our recent choice to bring teams that are engaged in highly collaborative activities together in one location and to consolidate two offices that no longer fit our growth plans. Allow me to respond to both. First, Vibe has and will continue to support remote workers. In fact in the consolidation of offices, our remote employee count increased rather than decreased. Second, the decision to consolidate our office locations was made to shape the future investment of the company so as to help us grow stronger as a company and as individuals. We remain committed to driving the appropriate change with the focus to ensure the long-term health of Vibe HCM and our team members. I can promise you that there were no bribes offered. Rather, we offered high performers the opportunity to move with their positions and gave extended notice and support to impacted employees if they preferred not to move. Fortunately, all have transitioned successfully and some are enjoying promotions as a result of their performance. We feel honoured to continue working with an excellent team and genuinely hope that you find your new opportunity as satisfying as your tenure with Vibe.
