Pros

nothing is a pro. nothing

Cons

Vida Glow has got to be the most toxic environment to work in. Not only are some members of the company incredibly discriminitive and verging on racism towards customers AND staff members, but the way they managed the place was terrible. Everyone was made to feel like everyone was against them. The gossip was above and beyond. The calibre of management put in place had no idea how to manage and the only way they knew how to manage was to put people down and make them feel bad for no reason at all. It was all a power trip. Since leaving this year I have seen interviews about the company, they always speak about how they really pride themselves on looking after the team, and the effort they put in. A complete lie and is laughable. Thats is the last thing they care about! That is all fake PR. They only thing the owners cared about was how many holidays they go on, or how much ‘fame’ they could achieve. Meanwhile the people making them money had no pay rises and worked every waking hour including on your holiday! It’s all smoke and mirrors. Don’t even bother working there. You’ll come out feeling like you achieved nothing.

Pros

Monthly product allowance was good.

Cons

If you like being treated like the scum of the earth by management, not spoken to by staff in managerial positions, even when asking for help, having the blame for every mistake placed on you (even if it’s a problem you can’t resolve yourself, due to international staff), or micromanaged until your mental health is affected, then this is the place for you. The ‘welcoming and inclusive’ environment that is advertised within the initial interviewing phase, it a load of crap. Senior members don’t have much experience before their current role but love political and discriminative behavior, including speaking down to those that are in a ‘lower’ position than them. They also pass on any work that they don’t feel like doing, without any regard that others have a pile of work to do as well. In terms of work/life flexibility, members of staff are assumed to help at any time of the day without compensation, including the weekend, and are contacted continuously outside of work hours. And when asking to work from home for an appointment or personal reason, there is a big huff and puff about it. There are quite obvious cliques within the company, and if you don’t fit in then you are automatically ousted. The environment is nothing less of toxic. The pay is well below average for the work load that is expected, and when promoted to a new position you are not offered remuneration for this, and stay on the same wage/salary. Everyone is pigeon holed into their own departments, and even though if you are interested in another area you have the ‘opportunity’ to assist when you get your work done, there is way to much work that this will never happen. Management don’t want to hire, even when asked for help. If you go to HR with any issues they always side with the other person, and turn a blind eye to the bullying occurring within the office.
