Was the perfect job .... until the day it wasn't

Company is lead by an amazing CEO, who strives for strong ethics. The leadership team is highly motivating and inspirational. I loved working here, loved the mission, and loved that my work was saving lives during the pandemic.

Cons

Despite an amazing company, my supervisor seems to have been a bad apple. After more than a year of reinforcement that my contributions were respected and needed, my supervisor and an HR rep surprised me one day, and asked for my resignation just 15 days before the estimated arrival of my first child. I did amazing things here, and strongly disputed that I ever had a performance issue. HR didn't help, and just took my supervisors word for everything. No investigations. I was given the choice of a performance-improvement-plan right in the middle of the month my partner is supposed to be giving birth, or resignation. I later found out that the plan was in works for 2 months. From this I can only conclude that the timing was intentional. Absolutely cold-hearted and cruel.

While once a great place to work with a promising future, the change in CEO has fundamentally changed this company. Any reviews over a year old will not reflect the company as it is now. Near 100% turnover in C level in the last 2 years with some executives lasting under a year Poor leadership Poor strategic planning Very unstable company to work for Few opportunities for advancement

The mission seems to attract many.

Cons

This is an extremely toxic environment. The company seems to be hiring people who have been ousted from other places because of bad behavior. As a result, we have an army of abusive, unethical supervisors who have free rein to do as the please. Complaining to HR is worthless. In response, employees are leaving the company in droves. This is all such a shame because the company operates under the guise of doing good for others. The mission is a sham. Look carefully under the hood before you decide to join.
