Pros

The owners seem nice. they have activities on certain holidays and free lunch once in awhile if you meet quotas.

Cons

Not organized, Management won't put a lot of time in with the employee, Good luck deciphering the Knowledge base. If you don't immediately pick up on things just don't go there because nobody will help you very much and they will just find a reason to fire you.

Pros

- I made some great friends, fostered a few strong alliances, and gained a ton of knowledge and experience very quickly (at the cost of getting burnt out numerous times) - The small-team dynamics with certain teams was probably the best experience I've ever had working on a team. Other teams will get rid of you if you do not fit in, or if you posses a personality that slightly deviates from the upbeat yes-man.

Cons

- Employee turnover is extremely high, and this is by design from upper management. This allows them to underpay and overwork employees, while pushing their agenda that high turnover and burnouts are good (Burning out employees and replacing them every year is believed to be "good" as it keeps a fresh set of eyes/opinions coming into the helpdesk work. In actuality, it just cultivates a constant rotation of inexperienced and stressed out employees that lack appropriate on the job training.) - The "Service Desk" portion of the company feels like its an entity entirely of its own. Changes are decree'd from upper management and the information is rarely passed down in a timely manner (if at all). We're just cannon fodder (After many years of working there I had done some photography for the company, and some actually thought I was just a contracted photographer. The Service Desk is lowest on the totem pole. - Opportunities for advancement and bettering oneself are few and far between (I have a feeling this can also be attributed to their glorified turnover rate). When they do occur, it is generally up to a round of favoritism to decide the employee to promote. - I was written up twice in one sitting in a very hostile manner. The next day I was called back into HR to reiterate the importance of these write-ups. My manager then went on vacation for two weeks, and immediately upon returning proceeded to dismiss my employment from the company. I was given no opportunity to improve upon what I was advised to improve upon. In hindsight, I regret signing those "write-ups" as I do not entirely agree with them; but at this time I was not given a chance to defend myself without getting into more "trouble". (Some valid points in my write-ups, and some very invalid points in my write-ups that completely caught me off guard. Had no idea it was an issue.) - Now I do not know what to tell future employers about my "departure" from Virteva. When I posed this question as I was getting fired, I was laughed at by my manager. - Upon being "dismissed" I was gleefully advised that my benefits would be good through the end of the month. This was on 03/27. Thanks for that as well. - During my time at Virteva, I was twice recruited to provide thousands of dollars of professional photography work, for which I ultimately just billed 3 hours of OT for. I can only really blame myself for this, and I've learned a valuable lesson regarding never doing anything out of goodwill ever again.

Pros

None. Closest pro I can think of is that they will hire anyone. So if you need a low paying and degrading job apply. They do pay for tech certs (if you pass) so stack up! But, if you leave before the agreed contract, they will take their money back.

Cons

Where to start? Virteva/Crossfuze. They will tell you that there are growth opportunities and not make it seem like a Call Center in your interview. There are growth opportunities if, you are kissing the right butt. I have seen so many co-workers more than qualified (myself included) not get the positions they applied for. Someone who is friends with that department's manager would get it and they were not nearly as qualified. They have a revolving door because so many people quit after about three months or get fired. They do not back up their employees, even when the customer is completely wrong. They give no second chances and fire older employees to hire younger ones either in or fresh out of college for cheap. The benefits are a joke and expensive! PTO is earned at a very slow rate, but they will let you go negative 40 hours. But, if you quit or get fired they will take what you owe them out of your last check. They monitor the hell out of you. They score you on random calls and which is fine, but the metrics are bull. They monitor your screens and some of the supervisors will literally stand over you during a call... which the calls never stop. They are the definition of micromanaging. Management is a joke. If you ask them questions or for help, the first thing they ask you is, "did you check the KB's". Yes, I checked them and that's why I am here. When the "board" is full of calls, emails, and alerts, do not expect the supervisors to help relieve some of the call flow. They will tell you to make your calls quick and get on to the next one. If you work in the Call Center do not expect to interact with any other employee that is not in that Call Center. That place is so divided and makes you feel so undervalued. The only time you will speak to some outside of the "Fish Bowl" is when you are in trouble or need to talk to HR. Other than that, the rest of the employees will not even know you. They talk about security is number one and that is one of the reasons you cannot work from home because of Government contracts and HIPAA. So that means you cannot bring in friends or coworkers to show where you which is fine but do not tell us that then bring in a camera crew and the Marketing team to shoot a commercial. They literally were taking vids and pics while we were on calls and have customers information on our screens. Company culture consists of one Twins game and maybe bowling, golf or a picnic once a year. You are expected to wear business casual attire even though you see no customers at all. They do provide BBQ's some time with the cheapest highest quantity dogs, brats and burgers from Costco. They use to do Food Trucks, but the did not last long, and if you were there on that day you better run fast and eat even faster! Oh! And if you worked nights, overnights or weekends, you do not get any of those things. They could at least order those employees pizza or something. When it is time for your one year review, do not expect much. They will pull out their datasheet on you and look at your numbers and judge you ridiculously. I scored 90% and earned a 25 cent raise. They also make you sign an NDA so you cannot work for any of the companies they provide service to or work with for a year. There is so much more, but I do not feel like going on anymore. So lets recap: Avoid at all cost!
