Pros

- Vision for Education offers a fantastic training academy for new starters, which was incredibly helpful in getting me up to speed with recruitment basics. It was also a great opportunity to meet others in similar positions from different branches. - The Preston branch had a small but very supportive team. My colleagues were welcoming and always willing to offer help and guidance. - It's a good starter role in recruitment, especially if you have limited experience. The training and resources provided gave me a solid foundation to build upon. - The flexible working arrangement with one day working from home was a positive aspect. - Reduced hours during school holidays. - If you are looking to get into recruitment, Vision for Education is definitely worth joining. You do hear a lot of horror stories from other agencies, and Vision is definitely less harsh compared to others, making it a good place to start your recruitment career.

Cons

- KPIs were very difficult to hit, and the pressure from Regional Directors was intense. There was a constant comparison to larger, more established branches, without taking into account the fact that our branch was new and still building. - The long working hours were challenging, especially with early starts (7:30am) and working 40 hours per week. During school holidays, hours were reduced. - Limited benefits offered, which felt lacking compared to what you might find in other companies. - It was difficult to switch off from the role in the evenings and weekends, with school leaders frequently calling for support outside of regular working hours, which added to the overall stress.

Pros

They try really hard to find you long term contracts with schools, and if one they find isn't suitable for you, I received another suitable offer very quickly. Really loved the environment I ended up in, was suited very well to me. You won't be short of work during term time. Even during summer holidays there are opportunities.

Cons

Had to tell payroll twice that I didn't have a second job and to not emergency tax me. Lack of sick pay was a problem when I had to isolate with COVID.
