Pros

Interesting industry. You may enjoy it, if you enjoy excel. The customers (who don't hate them yet) can be cool to work with.

Cons

This message (written by a former employee... not me) sums it perfectly: "The CEO is a hopeless narcissist that destroys everything he touches. The job was the worst year of my life. All invested would walk away and cut their losses". You will literally lose your mind within a year. Please do yourself a favor and check with former employees. They will be happy to shed light on the situation.

Approach with caution

Pros

I met some great coworkers and had the chance to work with some amazing customers.

Cons

CEO has total disregard for the well-being of his employees. He is manipulative, highly combative and egotistical. In several cases, board members prohibited him from communicating with certain employees because of the effect he has on his team's wellbeing. Almost all employees began to suffer major mental health issues as a result of the work environment here. For this reason, I highly recommend finding past employees through LinkedIn to discuss their experience before joining this company. Many payroll issues: employees not paid on time, employees not paid quarterly bonuses at all, sales commissions not honored. Major product deficiencies leading to very uncomfortable customer engagements during onboarding and ongoing use.

Must be comfortable with Micromanagement

Pros

Customers are great, income was on par with comparable positions, and many in the team are very supportive.

Cons

Very combative “culture” focused more on pointing fingers than finding success. Very high employee and customer churn which results in too much confusion. Working feels more like a battle than identifying and solving for success. Heavy micromanaging. Poor cash management; many vendors and employees are left unpaid, or not paid in a timely manner. Lacks necessary investment in product.
