      Don’t waste your time

      Pros

      There are no pros other than I no longer work there. There is an X-Employee club for this place.

      Cons

      Where do I start? “Family” run so if you aren’t family, you are nothing. Don’t get sick since they force you to come into work with a 104 temp which you got sick from the other employees they force to come in. There is no such thing as “sick day”. They are very unethical in their dealings. They pay peanuts and expect you to do more than your job. They treat their employees like slaves as if they own you. You quit? Expect them to sue you for quitting they expect a lifetime commitment. This is where the X-Employees club comes in, no joke, we all help each other out when that ridiculous lawsuit hits the last one smart enough to leave.

      Pros

      - Plenty of learning activities & supports career growth - Supports sponsorships for conferences & any certifications that are beneficial to both company & the employee - Great team environment & work directly with PhD & MS degree holders - Senior management has an open door policy and is responsive. Reachable to everyone - Flexible hours as long as you are getting your work done - They do pay overtime for hourly employees - Frequent team lunches, birthday parties & other things - Customer centric environment & support the shipping sector through thick and thin - Lots of learning about heavy machinery and very passionate about marine engines - Very productive lab environment with lot of automated equipment to learn

      Cons

      - Ships operate on a 24/7/365 day schedule and the ship crew count on the lab to provide them results in time and hence there is a need for timely deliverables which may put some stress at times. - Evening shifts are manned by minimal crew (1 or 2 persons) and sometimes it get a bit weird but there are cameras for the safety of the team

      Cons

      Like prison. Bars on the door, Cameras above desks, Warden (management) spying on everyone. Shady gambling room in the back of the buildings with armed guards. Employees are around this.
