Heavily overstaffed in most departments, too many hands in all cookie jars, under qualified departmental management. Their definition of company culture is having an "in house" social media application for public communication that allows staff to post (sometimes passive aggressively) to each other so everyone can read it - gossipy. Department managers lack professionalism and experience and openly discuss terminating other staff they "don't like" in front of anyone. Alot of time wasted, great place to work if you don't like to have anything to do or like to do "make work projects". Use a free ERP system that is ill equipped to handle their growth and business structure. They may have financial issues as pay does not come on time. I had to actively pursue payment.

We appreciate your feedback. But we feel that after working at Vitalis for only 2 weeks, it is difficult to determine the effectiveness of management and co-workers. Vitalis feels very strongly about the commitment, knowledge, and experience of all of our current employees. Vitalis is in a very strong financial position.

Great people, fast-paced industry

Pros

The people and team there are second to none, and the fast pace of the industry meant there was always something to do. Tremendously fun to be part of a team that was growing, and watching the company succeed was rewarding.

Cons

The owners are very different in their approach to business, and the differences in morale could be seen from department to department. One of the owners is a fantastic leader, but the other two need to learn a lot about managing people. The term "entrepreneur" was overused as an excuse for poor people skills. If the owners like you, they'll promote you. If not, you won't move too much.
