Pros

You get a free lunch, which consists of bread and miscellaneous processed beige goods.

Cons

If you care about your mental health, self-respect, and having any kind of life outside work, stay far away from this company. They lure you in with big promises, painting a picture of growth and opportunity but the reality couldn’t be further from that. Once you’re in, you quickly learn that the culture is built on fear, ego, and exploitation. Junior staff are treated as expendable, constantly blamed for issues beyond their control, while senior management take the credit for any success and shift the blame for any mistake. The workload is relentless, the pay is insulting for the hours demanded, and burnout is seen as just part of the job. Overtime is expected, weekends often disappear, and any attempt to raise concerns is brushed aside and told is “bad PR” The environment is toxic, manipulative, and dominated by a leadership team who are only there for the financial gain. The anxiety you have on a day to day basis is quite frankly out of control, and It’s not unusual to see people retreat to what’s been jokingly dubbed “the crying room” to cope with the stress. Promotions and pay rises are dangled like carrots but rarely delivered, and real support or mentorship is nonexistent. It’s a place that drains your confidence, blurs your boundaries, and leaves you questioning your worth. Only after leaving do you realize just how unhealthy and damaging this place truly is. Their reputation in the industry and turn over rate speaks volumes, and it’s well-earned.

A Cautionary Tale

Pros

Some recognisable big name companies to work across but at what cost?

Cons

• Agency takes on work for free to chase client wins and then just expects team to service them alongside paying clients with zero extra resource. • Leadership won't challenge clients on scope or timelines. Staff are left to absorb all the fallout and meet unrealistic deadlines. • Constantly understaffed and overworked. Burnout isn't a risk here, it's a given. • Everyones always so stressed and there's a lot of toxic culture and conversations happening (i.e., people talking behind each other's backs, blaming people for their own poor leadership and unhealthy diet culture among the women). • The 5-day office mandate is dressed up with perks (free lunch, Friday drinks) but the reality is a Sainsbury's order that's gone within 24 hours and a beer at your desk at 5pm on a Friday as you wait for the clock to hit 6pm. The office itself is also an unpleasant environment. Too many people for such a small space, and clutter everywhere (meanwhile founder has himself a nice big office). • Standard hours are 9am–6pm. Long days with no wfh flexbility.

Toxic culture - Avoid at all costs

Pros

There really aren't any. Some of the clients are cool and that's about it

Cons

Led by a narcissistic controlling CEO/Founder, who leads with fear. The CEO/founder storms through the agency and often swears at people and creates a very uncomfortable environment. All the recent 5 star reviews will be people tasked to write these within the agency. Avoid working here at all costs. There are no WFH options. An awful toxic culture. Get out when you can. low salaries for juniors. No budget for anything. The office is cramped and the hours are long -you are frowned upon if you leave on time. Returning mothers are treated badly. The turnover of co-CEOs and MDs is so high as noone will put up with the treatment and being spoken to so badly by him.
