Pros

- Flexible work environment - Day to day work is autonomous as long as you hit your KPI's - Great product

Cons

- Clunky management, at times it feels like they are micro-managing, it is also very inconsistent and hard to get any follow up on issues which are important to staff; in certain instances it has been necessary to bypass management and go straight to the person who can assist - No professional development - the company has not invested in any official training for staff, there are no manuals for new starters and for employees that have been with the company for a while, no continuous development and minimal career progression - Inefficient management - creating countless Excel spreadsheets for information which can be accessed via our CRM reporting, countless meetings for issues which can be resolved via email - No investment in team building activities, no acknowledgement for staff who have done a great job - "Customer comes first" - the numbers come first, management are so far removed from clients and don't really understand their challenges, very narrow view - Training and development is very focused on the content and product rather than sales tactics, personal skills or an overall understanding of the different client functions and industries - No transparency on company plans on an operational level so staff are constantly in the dark as to direction of growth - As a creative company it is quite an uninspiring place to work and whilst we are given 'creative freedom', to try and get approval is too much effort that the momentum with clients usually passes - Working within industries which are suffering financially, no forward planning or considerations involved regarding the political or economical climate - unrealistic goals of renewal rates despite this

Terrible company culture

Pros

The WGSN content is good, but the business processes and pressure from the hierarchical structure completely overshadow any positives.

Cons

The culture is toxic and all they focus on is pushing sales. The customers are their absolute lowest priority, and staff are treated almost as badly as the customers. The high staff turnover is proof of how bad it is. They promise professional development, but it never happens.

Pros

Industry is competitive, trend-forecasting Was once a niche service but is now one of many that permeates all areas of the fashion industry.

Cons

The users of the service are complacent and thus some are hard to engage with. WGSN is managed regionally and this can mean that decisions are slow to take effect. The company seems to be undergoing a significant amount of change and thus has a high turnover of staff.
