Pros

The only pro was the cluster manager. Honestly best manager I’ve ever had

Cons

Everything. I honestly wanted to believe that the reviews I saw after accepting the job were just people overreacting but they weren’t. Every single one was right. The way head office management treated staff, I’m not surprised some of them acted out.

Pros

none. absolutely none. the worst job i’ve ever had. I read the reviews in here before going into my first shift, and i should’ve listened

Cons

where do i begin? 1. twice a week the employees have to take pictures of the stores to send to the owners. every shoe has to be lined up EXACT, and if it’s off then they have to send all the pictures again and get berated by the owners. the owners will also message the manager and talk about how incompetent the employees are. 2. I got hired as a christmas casual and was asked to stay on as casual. throughout this time i worked over 38 hours a week because there was only 3 people that worked in my store. most of the time my coworkers were sent to other windsor smith stores to cover work there, as the owners would fire people on a whim. 3. no organisation. I got called in multiple times on any days off at like 7 am because everyone had called in sick and I had to go in store. i would have to run the store alone for hours while also having to take store photos. 4. horrid co workers. Most of the coworkers i had the displeasure of meeting were rude , arrogant and just plain mean. Making up lies and going back on their word. if i had any issues with a coworker i would go to the manager, and the manager “promised not to tell anyone” then went straight to my coworkers and told them everything, resulting in me having an emotional breakdown and quitting on the spot. the owners called me a childish brat. 5. no discount or free items if you’ve read this far let me reiterate… DO NOT WORK HERE. FOR YOUR OWN SANITY. it sucks and just writing this is making me feel sick

Pros

Other staff members. Made a genuine friend from working here. Jobs weren't too hard just a lot to remember

Cons

I started this job as I wanted something different not realising till after I started how high the turnover rate was. I had 3 and a bit days of training, a lot to remember but wasn't too hard till I was made to be alone for the first time on my 6th day. I was alone more then I had someone with me. Got into trouble for ridiculous things like kneeling, cleaning at night instead of the morning, shoes not being perfectly aligned, finding an odd pair (blamed for this odd pair yet I had never sold it before), talking in passing of the other full time member. Upper management were terrible, the way the owners talk to you over email is crazy, you get attacked for a shoe being out of place or for kneeling when you unpack stock. You are constantly watched on the cameras and criticised for everything you do. I quit after 2 months even with no job lined up, wanted to quit before they fired me for no reason.
