Pros

meeting people, working in a fast paced work environment, Learning to deal with 'good' stress. all pros of working at WBC

Cons

Managers don't relay current issues to HR, and they ignore any attempt at requesting contact info for HR. Hours are 12+ a day with no overtime. one weekend off a month, and the commission structure is honestly abysmal and intentionally made to confuse and blatantly encourage employees to perform, while on our pay slips, there we so many deductions that its hard to take home R6k if target is not achieved. giving deals to colleagues under unreasonable circumstances, and then they make you pay for the devices you are forced to work on. i.e. an iPad and an iPhone, and then when you have worked long enough to pay off the devices, and happen to resign, they tell you that the admission of debt was never added to payroll, so you cant then keep the device that you have payed for. it was clearly deducted as my pay slip would reflect such. also my basic would get deducted from my commission, when starting, they give you 3 months commission top up, to entice you, and the total pay is as such. R8 000 basic + R8 000 commission. they said the commission is from a value R16 000 because as a junior, you get 50% of your value, but what they conveniently neglect to inform you is that your basic is subtracted from your commission after they half it. so the initial R16k is actually supposed to be R24k so to earn a salary of R16k before deductions, you must make a commission value of R24k, after which they actually pay like R12k after tax and company debt. i never would have accepted the job, with such high targets and such low remuneration, if i had known this before. after the 10th attempt to get in touch with HR, i happily sent a email to my manager notifying him of my resignation and along with that message, i included a list of things i suggested they should look at. he of course didn't send the email as i intended, and just notified HR of my decision. i then forwarded my mail to each and every employee at the company and after receiving my last paycheck of R600.00 only, i never looked back. i had to sort out my provident fund by myself as the manager said i will receive an email regarding that, and never did.
