Pros

Decent PTO policy Work from Home (Totally Remote) Commission on top of hourly Not being micromanaged (You can choose when you take much needed breaks)

Cons

Low Starting Pay Questionable payroll department - The way commission works can be confusing if you’re trying to figure out what you’re being paid and if you’re being paid correctly. There’s no way to see exactly what commission you’ve earned without either keeping track and doing the math yourself (which is almost impossible) or going to a manager to have them pull up your commission report each bi-weekly paycheck. Some managers will give you attitude for questioning whether you’re being paid correctly and there are times they will pay you incorrectly (less than what you’ve earned) or straight up pay you half your paycheck then you have to wait days to be paid in full. For such a low paying tedious job (with most employees living paycheck to paycheck) not being paid in full on time is unacceptable. Repetitive and mentally exhausting Rude Customers/Pushy Sales Tactics- It’s a remote phone sales job which means you have to call as many people as possible in a day to pitch them sometimes calling the same person up to 6 or 7 times in total (within the span of a few weeks). Obviously you will have to deal with people who don’t want these frequent daily calls and it can bring you down if you’re not used to speaking to angry and annoyed potential customers. You are told to only accept a “no” after a customer has said no 5 TIMES which feels extremely uncomfortable and you will be inadvertently shamed in daily zoom meetings for giving up after someone expresses continuously they are not interested and you accept it. You are encouraged to pitch up to the point that the perspective customer literally hangs up in your face because you’re not taking no for an answer. Can feel demoralizing to do this and to act so desperate for business when Weed Man actually does have a great product and doesn’t need to do be so pushy.
