Wegman Partners was my recruiter. I was initially employed with them as a temp for one of their clients, a law firm. I was told by the recruiter that after a period of 6-8 weeks as a temp, I would be converted to a full-time employee. The recruiter also said that soon after I begin working, he would contact me to see how it is going. Soon after starting at the firm, I never received any such contact to check in. Additionally, that 6-8 week time frame passed and yet I was still working as a temp. I inquired about it several times but to no avail--I would attempt to contact him but he would fail to respond. I even asked the client (my supervisor) numerous times and he would give me a very vague response---clearly there was no communication between Wegman, the client, and myself. MONTHS had passed and yet I was still a temp, never being converted to full time employment, and on top of that, was given more responsibilities, and even training other temps. Additionally, Wegman does NOT even have an HR department, which did not help my situation. I felt VERY taken advantage of, as I was working with more responsibilities and no benefits, all while Wegman still made money off my temporary employment status. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I discovered that one of my coworkers, who began working as a temp AFTER me, under this very same recruitment agency, and who I also trained, was converted to a full-employee! Moreover, I later discovered that despite specifically signing the W-4 forms with Wegman, for tax withholdings, they never actually withheld my income for taxes, so when it came time to file my tax returns, I had to pay taxes that should have been withheld all along! So, that's my experience with Wegman Partners. They reel in all bright-eyed and bushy tailed college graduates who are ready to take on the real-world and gain experience, only to then take advantage of them. So, if you decide to use them as your recruiter, do so at your own risk.
