Shady Business Practices - Fake Joint Ventures

Pros

They gave me a job for several years and I never had any issues getting paid and my co workers were very nice people.

Cons

One of the reasons I left was their shady business practices of having these "Joint Ventures", which are really just ways to give kickbacks to people sending them business. They did all these things to make them look like separate companies on paper, but in reality, its was all just one company. I was nervous that a true audit would bring about a collapse of the firm so I left for a company that did not have these deceptive practices.

Pros

Great location. Support staff are dedicated and hardworking. Standard working hours but tremendous amount of overtime. Inappropriate and unprofessional behavior of Management is not conducive to leadership role.

Cons

Working environment very stressful. There is no management. Very poor leadership and lack of accountability in Management. There is a pass the buck syndrome. Employees are overworked and grossly underpaid, underappreciated and disrespected.

Pros

Overtime! However, an obvious pro because they do not pay enough in salary. Some of the best attorneys that I ever worked with are greatly missed. Atmosphere was laid back until HR started walking around conducting a "daycare" check. Beautiful offices, wonderful holiday parties and gatherings and pretty good benefits.

Cons

Hired friends and family get a multitude of perks and chances to correct mistakes or wrong doings. Others, you are out the door with "skid-marks!" HR is incompetent and biased!
