Pros

- Employees genuinely care about participants and care - Remote work available, flexible work schedule - Ideal mission values - Competitive pay, quarterly bonuses (only if all employees meet goals)

Cons

- TOXIC work environment - very good at selling that this place is rainbows and unicorns - Management DOES NOT LISTEN - Management talk about life/work balance but do not implement it, expect to work a lot - Management is all talk about mission values, mental health and do not practice it - Staff is overworked, burnt out, some departments more than others - Still in start up mode, no processes in place or structure that lasts - POOR MANAGEMENT- Constant change with no communication so management will blame individual staff members when things go wrong - Management is gossipy, overshares other employee’s business, undershares solutions - Favoritism, nepotism - hires their friends and does not listen to over worked, burnt out employees — share a sob story and you’ll get your time off. ***INTROVERTS BEWARE!!!*** be hardworking and quiet and they judge you negatively for not over sharing your life story - Promotions and hiring based off personality, relations with management, not qualifications - Very reactive company, will drill you when things go wrong without providing you support - Management is incompetent, they don’t have rational reasons for what they do - Non-clinical people making Clinical decisions for patient care, too many hands in a pot for IDT meetings. Non-IDT members making IDT decisions. IDT members keep quiet or are ignored or humiliated … then management will get upset that no one is saying anything. - Lack of team work, support, accountability - Be prepared to be berated in meetings and bullied if you try to set healthy boundaries - Crying burnt out staff members asking for help will be ignored and gaslighted - Too many meetings (hours long) in a day with expectations to still do 8 hour work in a day - Teams messaging instead of emails or in person meetings. If you don’t turn on your video, management will make a big deal about it and call you out to humiliate you out of their frustration - Lack of adequate training - A lot of Relias training - No one knows what their doing, especially Management. Those who do are ignored, unappreciated, bullied and pushed out to transfer or quit. - Management has unrealistic expectations. They don’t know what your responsibilities are, they just expect you to have updates and get it done. - Rub Management the wrong way and you’re done for. - Online structure, resources, tools is all over the place - Opportunities for growth highly determined by your relationship with management - Enrollment numbers > patient care ***If you are great at kissing management’s butt, friends with management, you will have less work than others, will be favored and you will do great here!***

Not a supportive work environment.

Pros

Great culture and values. You can feel that people were sincere in caring for the elderly.

Cons

Not enough or little support from management even after informing them how overwhelmed you were. I asked my manager to shadow me, so they can see the amount of work I had, but they never cared to take the time. It seems the more you complained the more work they would give you as a punishment for complaining at all. There was very low morale, high turnover rate, disorganization, and inexperienced leadership team.

Pros

Competitive pay, great colleagues, & opportunities for growth. This company has so much potential but is unfortunately not following their principles. I had an amazing supervisor. PACE is a new world and you are able to help vulnerable seniors. Grateful for the opportunities I had while I was employed.

Cons

VP of O&E does not lead by example, is very numbers and money driven, & is not open to other ideas besides his own (all talk no game). VP changed bonus payout 3x during the time I was employed. If you expect your staff to complete/submit enrollments on time, have the same respect and pay out your staff on time. Time after time our bonus payouts were always late sometimes weeks up to a month. Upper management constantly promotes their friends despite them not being strong leaders. There needs to be more inclusivity/diversity in upper-management. This company has been around for 5 years and is still using the excuse of “being in start up mode”. Clinical staff is very overworked and although they communicate that to management, enrollments are not slowed down which pushes patient care down the drain. You’d think by this time they’d have figured out a better call system. All calls go to 2 receptionists which causes patients to slip through the cracks and not get the care/services they are promised upon enrollment. Every employee I spoke with whether HR, admin, clinical, even kitchen staff expressed being burnt out.
