High expectations for low pay

West Advertising Response
9yWow. Deeply concerning and also very disappointing.
A current member of West brought this review -- and one other -- to my attention and felt strongly that we should share it with the rest of our staff, which we have done.
Obviously, it is a concern when any company that cares about its values -- most importantly, how it treats team members -- receives comments like these. While I hope they are isolated opinions about West, I have to take them very, very seriously. I've invited all current employees to provide feedback to these specific points, or any others, either directly with me or anonymously.
What is disappointing is that someone would spend over 3 years with us under circumstances that he/she felt were so wrong, yet never approach me to address his/her feelings. If this response finds its way back to the reviewer, the door remains open for constructive feedback.
While it would be inappropriate to argue subjective assessments of the agency, I do want to comment on the assertion about "menial pay". West has received two negative reviews and two posts on salary and there appears to be at least one gross inaccuracy: Copywriter. The other is for an entry level position that most people advance beyond quickly. And, that starting level salary is already well above the range provided and has been for a while. Pay is always discussed in advance of a hire and we go to great lengths to ensure we are competitive in terms of both salary and benefits.
