Pros

Remote working, free computer, phone

Cons

Place is very unorganised. No processes AT ALL. No job descriptions. Some people don't even have managers. The people that are managers or VPs or Cs don't have the exprience for those roles.

Hey, this is Ashley here, the People Partner for Marketing at Whereby. We all know this year has been extreme change and growth (for everyone on the planet) but also for Whereby. While there's more work to do in providing clarity in our roles, this year was tough and people had to step up to the plate, but you're right: there weren't many official processes, nor job descriptions, nor managers! Whereby had to completely revamp EVERYTHING. We believe we're making great strides to improve and build a really admired company. When things get hard, we know it's so important to remember your "why".... Sometimes you have to get things done and there isn't always a clear process in place, but we're learning and improving. Before Whereby, I've personally never met a leadership team that truly cares about hiring and supporting great people and it's only going to get better from here. I just started in the team, and I am working to make sure I have regular 1-on-1s with the Marketing & Creative teams and I hope since writing this post we've helped alleviate some of your concerns. World class software and staff that should be achieving more

- Competitive pay and benefits. - Unlimited holidays. - Amazing co-workers, some of the most talented people you´ll ever work with. - World-class training. - Persons who are great managers and really care. - World-class tech. - (Had a) fantastic design and research team.

Cons

- Confusing leadership direction. - Directed by investors. - Downscaling is tough for everyone. - Few opportunities for actual personal growth - Some leaders and managers who shouldn't be Product Managers or c-level leaders. - Totally remote. - Rapid growth too soon. - Poor share option scheme. - High employee turnover. - Too woke.

Hey there, it's Jesse - the People Partner for Engineering. I'm sorry to hear that you're not having a great time at Whereby. We appreciate that no workplace is perfect, and hope that you are able to speak to me, your manager, or any member of our exec team about your worries and experiences. Our policies are frequently reviewed based on structured surveys that we send to the company, visibility into promotions and salaries are both included in this statement. We're working on providing levelling frameworks and transparency into compensation so hopefully a lot of these challenges will be cleared up soon. There is definitely a lot going on and processes and policies won't always be so clear but we're all working hard to get it there! Whereby is a rapidly growing company but I do personally believe that we strive to be better as an organization and that we want everyone's voice to be heard.
