Pros

Staff are highly skilled with deep drive to make the world better through their work.

Cons

Based on my experience, inclusion appeared to be more about branding than genuine belief. Internal dynamics pointed to ongoing sexism and tokenization beneath polished messaging. I observed systemic bias and patterns that disproportionately affected women and people of color. Turnover during my tenure appeared to reflect a deep gender imbalance: while men largely stayed, women, and disproportionately women of color, exited in the company in far greater numbers than men, many without roles lined up. I consistently observed women being directed explicitly or through cultural expectations to make their male colleagues work easier, often at the expense of their own growth. Executive leaders regularly modeled the behaviors and messaging that contributed to the culture I’ve described.

We’re deeply concerned by these serious allegations about our workplace culture. We recognize that your experience was real and significant, and we take seriously the pain and frustration reflected in your review. We’re committed to understanding where we’ve fallen short. We are actively reviewing our culture and practices, seeking honest feedback from current team members, and implementing concrete changes including third-party cultural assessment and leadership training. We will continue listening, learning, and making changes so our workplace is truly a place where everyone can thrive and build their careers. —Wide Eye Creative Leadership Team

Meaningful Work Undermined by Toxic Leadership

Pros

The work itself has the potential to be deeply impactful. Wide Eye Creative takes on progressive projects for causes and organizations that matter. There are smart, passionate people throughout the team who genuinely care about the mission.

Cons

Unfortunately, the company is led by two white male executives whose leadership actively undermines the values they claim to uphold. Despite a portfolio filled with equity-driven work, the internal culture tells a different story. In the past three years, over a dozen women have left due to the toxic work environment, often citing burnout, dismissal of their ideas, or more overt acts of exclusion. People of color are regularly tokenized during the client acquisition process — shown off to win contracts, then pushed aside when real work begins. Input from women and BIPOC employees is frequently shut down or ignored by executive leadership, creating a workplace where only certain voices are truly heard. The sexism and racism present at the leadership level are not isolated incidents — they are systemic, persistent, and deeply ingrained in how decisions are made and whose contributions are valued. Wide Eye Creative is not a safe or supportive environment for women or minorities, regardless of how inclusive their branding may appear.

Pros

Great company with really great people and work

Cons

The same as other agencies - doing things within budget and quickly which causes a lot of pressure for operational teams.
