Pros

The company has an excellent life-work balance since the company seem to be decently staffed. It's a German company, very solid and it's almost impossible to get make redundant. The salary package with regards to the work load is good! Also, the company has good development program for young graduate called SPEAD/START IN but afterwards there is no more progress. The recruiting process was good and very efficient. The offices are very social and it's a nice environment

Cons

The company is bureaucratic and employees waste a lot of time doing administration and internal approvals instead of doing proper work. Also, the internal procedures a very slow and in-efficient. Moreover, the company seems to be very risk-averse, which is not very compatible with the risky exploration business. Thus, the company seems to be rather a development & production than a exploration & development company. Also, there is no career development (after the trainee development). Moreover, the company does not have any visions or perspective. Last but not least, the management of Wintershall seems to be fully controlled by the BASF board. There is no room for innovation, strategy or progress. Poor communication of important matters within the company
