Pros

Good colleagues/employees (but they are itching to get out). That's it,

Cons

Very badly run, hierarchy unprofessional on all levels, all staff are overworked/underpaid, poor director/owner mentality, little - non-existent bonus/commission, staff retention laughable, poor quality translations, weekly client complaints, daily vendor complaints & disgraceful MD. Company somehow has a good reputation externally, internally its a pit covered up by a good team of marketers.

Pros

Good location, different work everyday

Cons

Where to start! - poor pay and even worse for actual translators - management is awful, they aren’t trained in managing and with no HR department the escalation procedures are none existent - bullying of staff from Alex the (MD) with nowhere to escalate it to staff just end up leaving although on the plus side she tends to not turn up to work and pretends she’s working from home! She’s not ... she’s usually recovering from the weekend - office dog! Alex is allowed to bring her dog into work usually this would be a pro however some staff are highly allergic to the dog and told to get on with it. The dog is aggressive and has snapped at multiple staff but nothing gets done - the project managers are worked to the bone and paid a pittance - management “slagging” off staff to each other via email and then accidentally copying in said staff Overall it was a very poor experience and I would not recommend the company to anyone, very unprofessional company and to be honest I can’t imagine the will be going much longer

Pros

None in terms of the company itself, or the benefits! Some of the people, not the management, whom are stuck in some kind of endless loophole, are the only thing that makes this place ever so slightly bearable.

Cons

I could ramble on forever but, to keep this succinct... Management are incredibly disconnected from their employees The treatment of their staff is horrendous! The staff turnover was in excess of 100% within 1 year of business whilst there, which speaks volumes. Any feedback for possible improvements is met with anger and has resulted in dismissal!! The marketing department are very clever (this sounds like a pro but, stick with it…). They portray this company as world leading, high quality translation and professional - which couldn’t be further from the truth! They grab whatever translator is available, push it through with incredibly low translator rates, with unrealistic timescales, leaving little time for proper translation and the necessary proofreading needed to produce quality work, worthy of the charge! Interns are treated like absolute dirt! Ignored by management, to the point where they are not even acknowledged!?!? How rude! People are moved between posts and given ultimatums of take it or leave it! Salaries are incredibly poor, with false promises made continuously to keep that carrot dangling.
