Some good engineers, but most leave as soon as a opportunity elsewhere comes up due to frustration of management.

I have been working at Wood Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Dynamic company, that is willing to adapt in a low oil price world. Willing to innovate and look beyond traditional oil and gas. Plenty of opportunities to move between offices. Good salaries.

    Cons

An large portion of the business is still Oil and Gas. Little / no expenditure on R&D or overheads. All work done must be billable. IT has been outsourced and it takes days to get basic issues sorted. No wage growth in this environment. Poor work / life balance. Often have to work overtime to meet client deadlines. Health and safety is neglected to meet deadlines. Boring office environment with little to no perks.

I worked at Wood Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Generally good working ambience. Many capable employees. Always aim to be the best in the market.

    Cons

Lack of resources planning or rather resources are inefficiently planned. Management changes all the time, almost half yearly, if not quarterly. Hard work and skills sometimes not recognized. Not employee focused, too profit driven.
