They sell you on the idea that you're a part of something big. In reality, it really isn't. The company is so spread out, that the owner tries to micro manage everything. But he loses the focus on what he's actually good at, which is engineering. They recycle computers between staff, and don't provide proper equipment.
They are so scattered as well. There is a huge communication issue throughout the company. They'd rather invest in uniforms rather than buy project management software!
They're pretty desperate to hire as well. It seems like they'll hire anyone to fill the vacancies they have. But then they'll under utilize the staff, and have them doing other meaningless job duties.
They'll always hire engineers, but don't have a IT person. They create these weird job positions, but don't know what type of skills the person should have for a particular role.
They'll value engineers over anything though.
Owner doesn't believe in working from home, has trust issues, says racist things, and even sexist things. Will bother everyone over the weekends and evenings.
The policies are so dated. They don't offer anything that really entices people to come work for them.
