Pros

Undoubtedly the people. Although for a short period, you would have the opportunity to meet a lot of them because of the continuous movement.. Out and In Now for the pros that are really worth all the praise: Wooqer’s mighty product & Wooqer’s efficient people management skills Some of the highlights of this mighty product: #1Unpredictability: Wooqer is always full of surprises. Nobody really knows how it's meant to function. It leaves the Wooqer users and the bug fixers on tenterhooks. Wooqer’s capacity to surprise is at its highest during that important demo/presentation that you so want to nail. If you are a seasoned player, like the Wooqer Godfathers, you will maneuver the whole situation in your favor. If you are a newbie (onboarding takes a year) your facial expressions will just give it away. Hard luck newbie. #2DIY: Massive respect for this product for its honesty. It openly claims it's a DIY product(Do it Yourself). Why not? From the testing stage, it is the responsibility of the customer to do it themselves. Wooqer will bear no responsibility from thereon. #3UI.. Wow.. Just Wow! So intuitive that the users begin onboarding by reading a 30 page ‘How to use Wooqer?’ guide available in different colors(must mention the colors, because everyone in wooqer creates a guide in their favourite color and presents it to the customer). There’s some relief for the color blind too. Wooqer offers its introductory guides in video format, also mutli-language.. #4Mobile App: Wooqer’s web version has a sidekick- The Mobile App. Now this one is a star. Remember the days when your parents/spouse complained that you are always fiddling with your phone? Wooqer App will make this go away. Just install the Wooqer App. Your phone will turn into a needy child that seeks constant attention sending you incessant absolutely unnecessary Wooqer notifications. The day you register your number with Wooqer, you are doomed. You leave wooqer, uninstall the app, erase all signs of your digital existence, yet- Wooqer will hunt you down and send you a notification, suggesting/begging you to login.. Curse it and crush it! We hates it forever! #5Security: Wooqer is a private internet with everything available publicly. Customer sales data, internal employee salary information and what not. It's a very secure open secret. Now for Wooqer’s people management skills: Are you feeling unmotivated just like all the other employees in Wooqer. Fear not the famous Wooqer townhall is here, where the God fathers talk for hours on how Wooqer is making astronomical numbers with handful customers, that delusional pomp and show ought to make you feel better. Want more comfort? Here, take a Wooq(originally woof, but that's downright inhumane and nasty, so Wooq), that beaming piece of white worthless paper to make you feel better. On a totally unrelated topic, how many of us have bought the loyalty of a stray animal by feeding it a Parle-G? Drifting back, so you are still unmotivated, your yearly hike is overdue ? So you decide to do something about it, you first write a `talk` to your manager, after a month-an email, after 2 months-you just corner her and ask her: hey lady manager, where’s that yearly pea sized hike I was meant to receive? Now she panics and opens all your colleagues salary slips (#security) and shows you how much more you get paid and how you should thank your stars for it and work 25 hours a day to really deserve it .. If this can’t motivate you, nothing can. Wooqer’s last noteworthy item is the proactive accounts section. Did you want to get all your documents (PF, Form 16) straightened out when you left the place? You will never succeed. It's like pursuing that hot girl who is just way out of your league. So man up!

Cons

It is a circus out there.

When i hear Wooqer the first thing that comes to my mind is how ill treated the employees are in wooqer. I fail to understand why senior people in management can’t understand one simple thing that if ur employees are not happy you can not succeed. Every 1-2 years the whole staff will change cuz by that time people realise what wooqer actually is. Management treats employees as their slaves… and trust me i am not at all exaggerating it. One specific person in management can and will shout at you anytime he wants. “O you worked till 12 at night once or for a week… why can’t u do that for one month and complete this whole thing… “ , “you want leave? have you even earned it.. what have you done for the company” , “what time you come to office? you should come by 930.. does not matter what time u left.. “ , “i regularly check the logs of entry” , “you are a stupid person. how you can be so stupid.. “… so on and so forth and all this after you have put in months of sincere effort for the company. If the management is reading this can you please do a favour to yourself to think once that why will anyone remain sincere and loyal to the company after hearing all this? No wonder almost everyone has left the company and the remaining few are planning to leave. How can you run the company with changing the workforce every few months? This way wooqer can never gain stability and the number of bugs will only keep on increasing exponentially. As a startup we dont expect them to have process for everything like the big companies but we do expect them to at least try to initiate a few. But the only thing they do is discuss and not implement. And after somedays they will discuss again.. with the same set of slides and not a single thing would have been implemented. I was just going through the reviews and saw one of them saying “Great Place To Work”… Really? Seems like the management has stooped so much that they started writing their own reviews so as to attract the freshers. In a company with 30 people if 5-6 people resign in a month only because of the poor work culture and the ill treatment by the management you can guess what kind of a company it is. They just lie to you at every point… in interview, in townhall.. They are so proud about themselves.. so much ego.. they have complete recipe for disaster.. they will give u a “reward” called “wooq” which is not at all related to ur performance.. its actually to either hold u back when people are thinking to leave the company. or maybe to make u work lots more.. by lots more i mean working till 5pm in the morning!! But NOT related to ur performance cuz wooqer does not believe in appreciation for performance. It believes in appreciation for retaining or making u work a lot for an upcoming project.. :P You will be told to finish a big project in a very small period of time. Commitment for which they had made long back to the clients. So what does the developer do? We develop the feature but with very low code quality. So seniors will have a meeting with all developers and agree that with increased velocity it is tough to maintain the code quality. The next thing you see is developers are again given hell of of projects to be completed in limited time frame. And then be shouted at for the bugs. Worst of all: They will never appreciate you for the good you did and shout in front of everyone for petty issues. So for the people who have recently joined wooqer… They must have created a very rosy picture in ur eyes and will live up to it for few days.. So enjoy the honeymoon but beware that the life won’t remain the same as this period.. :P And for the people who are considering to join us: DON’T!!! If you get confused by the reviews ( some fake reviews here ) then just talk to an ex employee.. Save your life like many others whom they hired and they didn’t show up on joining date cuz they got to know the truth before joining :P
