Great job security Great benefits Flexible hours to allow continuing education, etc.
Cons
State goverment pays less than federal government and private sector. No stock options or dividends Some coworkers can be very lazy because they know job security is solid. You have to do something pretty horrible to lose your job.
My experience with this company has been overwhelmingly positive. The flexibility in working hours is a particular highlight, allowing me to maintain an optimal work-life balance and accommodate other personal responsibilities. This level of flexibility is rare and greatly appreciated, as it fosters an environment that respects and supports the personal needs and circumstances of its employees.
Cons
Some jobs are grant funded This means that while the job offers numerous benefits, there is always the risk that a position could be eliminated if the grant funding falls through. It's an aspect of the job that you have to come to terms with and something to consider seriously before accepting a position here.
