Pros

Decent benefits including tuition coverage for employees. Opportunities to attend lectures and events on campus. Free use of fitness facility on campus.

Cons

Pay raises have been stagnant for the seven years which has resulted in other universities in the Dayton area paying $10 $15 k more a year in identical positions. Very poor management and accountability in many departments.

Pros

Great environment with staff, faculty and students, excellent benefits. Great sense of accomplishment, daily challenges. The culture of the work environment was excellent for a while.

Cons

Upper management, specifically the CFO hired in 2013 has devalued staff, been cold and unresponsive the bulk of the faculty, has replaced effective, long term employees with contractors, and is feared by management lower than the Provost so that nobody wants to speak up and protest.

Pros

Fun working with students and at events!

Cons

I love my job but the administration just eliminated half my office with no warning. People with years of experience were let go and now no one trusts anyone else because we don't know who was colluding with the VP to try and get a promotion. Those of us who are left, all we can do is keep our heads down and keep quiet. This used to be a fun place to work but now i dread going into the office.
