Pros

- Generally people are nice - Is relaxed and modern for an IP company

Cons

- Poor salary compared to similar companies - Senior management promote a modern flat company but don't want input from support staff - HR are power hungry, unqualified and unprofessional, and were responsible for multiple unfair dismissals in my time there just because people stood up to them - No room for progression - Building and facilities could do with an upgrade

Pros

Wynne-Jones has interesting work and good clients. When things are good they are happy to trust employees and allow a high degree of autonomy. Had some great staff during my time. Relatively modern outlook for an IP firm

Cons

Exceptionally high staff turnover. Demotivated staff due to a culture of paranoia and mistrust. HR procedures are, at very best, patchy and inconsistent and, at worst, entirely unprofessional. Complete lack of empathy for employees. Very limited communication to/from the directors toward the staff. Strong detachment between the directors' perceptions and reality, which at times makes the firm appear wholly hypocritical. Employees can quickly fall out of favour without warning or proper explanation...many simply "disappear" after a HR discussion. Some directors have distrust in staff expertise and skills with professionals time merely being a commodity to sell. Also, the "new Cheltenham office" is in Gloucester which is not Cheltenham.
