A company with great colleagues but dumbest "leadership".
Pros
You will get to work alongside a number of talented engineers. The environment used to be very good at first but then it went horribly wrong
Cons
XORD was once a great place to work, but unfortunately, the situation has changed. XORD had two departments, Solutions and Products. The Solutions department offered blockchain services, while the Products department attempted to build products for the blockchain ecosystem that failed to live up to their hype. The company's leadership is lacking in empathy. The CEO and COO emphasized the importance of taking ownership of everything in XORD, but when it was time for the CEO to take responsibility for his actions, he chose to lay off the employees in the Services department. He did this in order to invest in his product idea and keep the runway for himself and his product team. The COO showed gender bias by favoring female employees over male employees. COO was known for his manipulations towards the employees problem. He was the sort of guy who would ask you if anything is wrong in the company and when you tell him about it, he would tell you to be patient and we are "working on it". But days and months would pass without any progress on your problems Furthermore, the HR and "culture" department had minimal contributions to the company, despite their attempts to implement case studies on Netflix culture. Overall, while XORD may have been a great place to work at one point, the lack of empathy from leadership, gender bias from the COO, and underwhelming contributions from HR and "culture" have made it a less desirable workplace.
