Not a long term career!

Pros

Unlimited vacation and adequate pay. Learned a lot from my original direct superior before I was transferred departments. Interesting business model that has the potential to do well if not run into the ground.

Cons

No room for advancement, and some blatant nepotism within the workplace. CEO was quick to dump 70% of his employees when COVID first began, despite assurances we had made enough profit to last a few months (literally 1 week before this occured) and rather than try and take a pay cut to save people's jobs, was fine keeping his excessive pay intact and his wife on the payroll. Said employees were furloughed, but a few months later hired replacements in junior positions that had previously been 3 jobs, now combined into one for less pay, instead of bringing back people that had been furloughed. When questioned about this, was told they were 'going in a different direction', which basically meant they wanted to hire someone cheaper. Retention is extremely low (even before COVID), because if you're not one of the 4 or 5 long term employees you won't last long. Tries to say they're a 'family' company, which is definitely true if you're actually related to a long term employee! Otherwise, you're completely disposable no matter how hard you work. Company structure also changed every 2-3 months, with job descriptions and expectations completely changing and people moving to entirely different departments, all on the whim of the CEO and no one wanted to contradict him BECAUSE he's the CEO. Would also be on guard before becoming pregnant, as I have seen through other coworkers the snide remarks and lack of empathy despite others having children. Potential employees beware, I would use this place as a stepping stone to something bigger and better and not commit yourself to anything long term.

Pros

Good hours, clear vision for the future of the company.

Cons

Call floor Leadership is very critical of minor issues, to the point it seems like micro-management or just poor management without any idea on how to lead a team. Even when following the onboarding guidebook. They will get upset about something and instead of handling it like adults with professionalism, they will step out and scream "there will be hell to pay" out of there office.... In a call center... While people are on the phone. Pay is only 12/ hour in Destin... Where a Whataburger next door starts people at $15/hour. Not to mention health insurance went from $30/month to $90/month, nearly an entire day of work for what they pay us.
