Pros

- The people working in the Design Office are some of the best people you can hope to work with. - Having an on-site factory is an incredible resource for a young Engineer keen to learn. - Friendly people throughout the company at non-leadership levels.

Cons

- The Leadership Team. Never have I known a group of directors more disassociated, dismissive, and capricious, towards their staff. They promote false platitudes of “Accountability” and “Collaborative”, and then come up with every excuse under the sun as to why things aren’t going right or fail to effectively communicate change. On multiple occasions have I witnessed members of this leadership team yelling and once screaming at their staff. It’s unacceptable in today’s society and especially when it’s at young members of staff. No-one reports it however because they know nothing will be done about it. - The HR director in particular is condescending, spiteful, and cannot take feedback. If your opinion does not align with hers then you’re wrong. End of story. Even if you provide all the evidence necessary that what you’re saying is fact. This is a dangerous mindset and needs to change. - The company makes promises it cannot keep. We are often overworked to achieve wild deadlines that we were never going to make. This is across the company. Burnout is a serious problem as we hop, skip and jump from initiative to initiative. “Big push”is used year round and as a result morale is through the floor. - MiddleGround Capital. Bought us a few years ago. Since then, we’ve not hit our annual targets twice in a row, overtime pay has been removed, staff haven’t been replaced but the expectations have grown. Something is desperately wrong with this equation. This is driven in part by their ridiculous goals and interfering consultancy company Banner.

Thank you for taking the time to share such candid and detailed feedback. While some of the points raised are difficult to read, they are important and we do acknowledge the seriousness of the concerns highlighted. There is a lot of change happening within the company currently which we are offering engagement forums to review and discuss accordingly.

Pros

Some great colleagues. Those who try, do so with all their energies.

Cons

"Leadership" hasn't existed since the new regime took over. False narratives, and directives, while decisions are made behind closed doors. People selected for for new directives, are hung out to dry, and sacked for telling the truth. The most honest, and dedicated, are gone. Lazy gang mentality. Customers are called out by management, for wanting parts on time.....and people still get sacked on lists left in notebooks for all to see.

Pros

Unlimited overtime. Good initial training. Share distribution once a year. Fairly relaxed environment. Occasional tickets to events. Good apprentice scheme.

Cons

No chance of progression or extra training if you work in production. I joined 5+ years ago on a promise of a yearly bonus, I'm still yet to receive a bonus. Middle level management try to blind top level management by asking staff to 'be careful what you say.' Ageing workforce and facility. Very resistant to change and adopting new technology. Certain department managers are bullies and will not listen to suggestions for improvement or change. Directors appear in interviews purporting to be buddies with the workforce and how it is 'like going to work with your mates' when in reality the MD and previous MD are seen in the workshop once every 2 months if you're lucky. Pay scale is based on length of service, not experience, skills or qualifications.
