Pros

Mostly lovely staff given the circumstances

Cons

Horrific transphobic comments made by management and security towards guests, lack of any sort of training plan, sexual harassment seen as a joke and not taken seriously, poor management, often left alone when help is urgently needed. Just an absolute shambles of a job.

Pros

Nine plus years ago Yotel was a new fresh vision to a very stale industry. Yotel inspired a Fun, Energetic, Positive and tech environment. It was like the Google of hotels everyone wanted to be part of its innovation in the hospitality world. It was a positive experience every day to walk through its doors. One was eager to share that experience with those who came from around the world to visit. Everyone at the Yotel was a family from the owners (Gerard Greene) down to line workers. We worked played and inspired each other. For the next 3 years Yotel took off like a rocket ship. One was lucky to be a part of this new chain of hotels we were the future....

Cons

Now Yotel is a totally different hotel. No longer the hotel that once shined in Time Square NYC. All its original values that made this brand stand above the rest have disappeared. For anyone entering the hospitality industry. The yotel would be a bitter starting experience and a step forward in the wrong direction in hospitality. There is absolutely no encouragement no leadership and no direction provided by those in the position to do so. Ownership has lost its vision. Has lost its consideration for those who have taken yotel to its Apex. The workers and the guests who also were part of Yotel. Now Yotel is what you DON'T want a hotel to symbolize. Don't be mistaken by their act of this New vision, Guest Friendly, Happy staff concept. This Hotel has had the highest TURNOVER rate in all levels.

Pros

Really relaxed environment, casual dress code. If you are looking for a place to work that is fun then Yotel is the one. That's all then pros really. Pay isn't bad either

Cons

Rate isn't high so caliber of guests are the ones looking for cheap rooms. Can be overly noisy. Management doesn't seem to care much about anything.
