Pros

Some of the managers are great to work for. It is pretty.

Cons

Very low pay, especially for the region. Poor and expensive benefit package. elected officials don't care about the staff at all. Human Resources does not do their job trying to help others or recruit the best, they will take the easiest person for the job. Managers do the best they can, but their hands are tied as well with lack of funding and lack of support as well. A livable wage is not paid, and you can't afford an apartment or a house on what they pay.
